It all started with a lightbulb...

When I was five years old I received the coveted Easy-Bake Oven. I was ecstatic and soon began mixing and baking tiny cakes and cookies with a lightbulb. At the time I was amazed, but little did I know I had only just entered the magical world of baking. As I grew older I outgrew the lightbulbs and began baking in the "big-girl oven." For the next few years, I baked on and off again for various occasions or just to satisfy the craving for a sweet treat.

     Flashforward to 2019, at age 15, when one Sunday afternoon I dusted off my apron and decided to make a cake. Soon after this cake success, I began testing and developing homemade recipes that were sure to be hits. After practicing, learning new techniques, countless failures, and late nights, I finally learned the ropes, and Cakes To Char was born!

     Now, I love baking and decorating custom cakes whenever I can. I have grown to admire classic flavors with simple yet elegant designs, but something about me will always love colorful cakes, small details, and sprinkles. Lots and lots of sprinkles!!
